Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings collection includes plant-based meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with bold flavors and practical shortcuts.

Chrissy Teigen’s plant-based recipes lean on bold flavors and familiar formats: sesame “chick’n” with fried rice, mango-inspired overnight oats, and a hearty greens and chickpeas dish. They’re a small but varied part of Cravings, her food platform, which also features meat, dairy, and eggs.
Teigen launched her debut cookbook, Cravings, 10 years ago. Since then, she’s published two more cookbooks and grown the brand to include cooking products such as pans and cookie mixes. Her interest in food predates the cookbooks: she started the food blog So Delushious in 2011.
Food without strict rules
In a 2024 interview with Today, Teigen described a shift away from the diet culture she grew up with. She said she now focuses on balance and feeding herself and her children fresh, whole foods, while keeping food positive rather than assigning it moral value.
"I don't live in a world where carbs are scary anymore, but I grew up with such diet culture in my household," she explained. "Now that I have kids, we try to make sure that food is not talked about in a negative way. It's a positive, fun thing, and you get to indulge sometimes. They have a Happy Meal every once in a while.”
Plant-based cooking is one part of that broad approach. In 2021, Teigen posted about working with The Korean Vegan, the recipe site founded by Joanne Lee Molinaro. “I get so many requests for vegan recipes at Cravings,” she wrote, calling Molinaro “a master at veganizing Korean food.” Teigen has also shared plant-based recipes of her own, alongside dishes made with animal products.
Five recipes from the Cravings kitchen
These picks cover fresh rolls, a quick takeout-style dinner, fruit-forward oats, a substantial salad, and a simple chickpea dish.
1 Veggie Summer Rolls
Created by Teigen’s mother, Vilailuck Teigen, these rolls swap the shrimp found in some versions for a savory mushroom filling. Rice paper wraps the mushrooms with carrots and bean sprouts, while a spicy, aromatic dipping sauce brings the flavors together. The fresh, unfried format makes them a lighter option for a warm-weather meal. Vilailuck said she shared the recipe after people asked how to make the rolls without shrimp.

2 Vegan Sesame Chick’n With Fried Rice and Garlicky Greens
This dinner uses a store-bought vegan nugget substitute as a shortcut. Tossed in a sweet, tangy sesame sauce, the chick’n comes with fried rice and garlicky greens—a practical way to put a takeout-inspired plate on the table without building the meal from scratch. The sauce is made for spooning over the rest of the dish, too.

3 Coconut and Mango Overnight Oats
Teigen draws on Thai coconut sticky rice with mango for this make-ahead breakfast. Coconut and juicy mango add sweetness and texture to the oats, turning a familiar morning staple into something that feels a little more like a treat. Her pitch is simple: bring the anticipation of a birthday or holiday into an everyday breakfast.

4 Roasted Sweet Potato, Mango, Black Bean, and Avocado Salad
Roasted sweet potato, mango, black beans, and avocado give this salad enough substance to work as a meal. A bright lime dressing, seasoned with garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper, cuts through the mix and keeps the flavors lively. Teigen describes it as a dish with “a little bit of everything” to make it satisfying.

5 Greens and Chickpeas
Smoky paprika, garlic, lemon, and cayenne give this straightforward combination plenty of character. Chickpeas make the greens more filling than the short ingredient list might suggest; Teigen calls the dish “deceivingly hearty.” Together, these recipes show how her plant-based offerings range from quick weeknight cooking to prep-ahead breakfasts and fresh, shareable starters.
